A lovely compact faux marble painted dresser from the early 1900s, made from solid beach wood and oak with 3 drawers, featuring a painted shadow-line to accentuate the drawer shape and with brass ring pull handles. The top is painted in a dark faux marble effect. Faux marble painting effect became very popular in France in the 19th century to emulate wealth and status reflected in your interior design. 
 
This provincial furniture chest would be equally suitable as bedroom furniture or a bed side table also providing storage for clothing, or as a console in an entry way or behind a sofa for a lovely interior styling variation.
